The Company

In 2013, Sean & Donna Mahaney founded SeanCo Custom Wheelchairs.  Sean was inspired after watching their daughter, Trinity, at an adaptive sports camp with her friends.  Sean took his knowledge of wheels & suspension and paired it with Donna's experience and knowledge of wheelchair seating & design and together they made some amazing wheelchairs!

The Legacy

In 2017, while on his way to a charity event, Sean was killed on his motorcycle by a hit & run driver.  His loss was felt not only by his family, but also by the entire disability community that he had become a big part of.

Spurred on by friends and family, his wife Donna is carrying on his legacy with their business SeanCo Custom Wheelchairs, and is continuing to bring Sean's innovations and designs to a much needed community.

The Foundation

The Sean Mahaney Foundation - 501c3

The Sean Mahaney Foundation was founded in memory of Sean shortly after his death by friends and family.  Together, we are working to carry on the torch Sean ignited by raising funds to support a grant program designed to help pay for adaptive sports equipment for kids.

With the high costs of adaptive sports equipment prohibiting many families from getting their kids involved in sports, the Sean Mahaney Foundation hopes to relieve the financial burden of adaptive sports wheelchairs paving the way for more kids with disabilities to get out and have fun!

100% of the proceeds raised through our website sales, donations, and fundraising events go straight to the foundation that carries Sean's name.  Grant applications will be free for anyone who has a child that could benefit from the use of an adaptive sports wheelchair.  All applications will be reviewed by a grant committee.  The Sean Mahaney Foundation does not discriminate against anyone because of race, ethnicity, skin color, nationality, gender, gender identity, religion, family status, or disability.  Application terms and timeline will be disclosed on our website beginning January 2020!
